Rush Creek Reserve Season Comes to an End
February 19, 2013 - Today we shipped the season's last batch of Rush Creek to shops and restaurants across the country. It will be sold over the next few weeks, and then not again until the fall, when we release the first batches of the next season. Special thanks to all of our customers for making this year's run of Rush Creek such a celebration.
2012 Extra-Aged Release
Labor Day 2012 - The Extra Aged Pleasant Ridge Reserve season is here. We have selected 12 batches from our 2011 production, aged them for at least 15 months, and will release them this fall and winter. This limited selection is a small fraction of the cheese we made last season, and it showcases the lingering sweetness of our cheese in its most distilled form. Over the next several months, you will find Extra Aged Pleasant Ridge Reserve at select retailers around the country, and you can order it from us here.
Pleasant Ridge Reserve Named Best in Class Again
August 4, 2012 - For the third year running, Pleasant Ridge Reserve has won the American Cheese Society's annual competition as the best cheese of its type (aged, washed rind) in the country. This is an incredible honor, as it takes a great cheese and a lot of luck to win just once. Three years in a row is virtually unheard of and is a great reward for our hard work. We couldn't be more proud.
We are a family-run dairy farm in southwestern Wisconsin, where we use the milk from our grass-fed cows to make artisan, farmstead cheese.
Here is a short video about how we make our Pleasant Ridge Reserve.
